Yogi #6 Lucy

Find your community, a place that feels homely that you look forward to going to. And, if you’re short on time at the moment, practice a little at home, 10 or 15 mins don’t bother getting changed or even just wear your PJs. Just do what feels good when you can.

What did you think of yoga before you tried it for yourself?

I grew up dancing and yoga was always a natural extension of that.

Why do you LOVE practising yoga now?

I love moving and grounding my body and that's what yoga is to me. I spend a lot of time doing other sports like running and cycling (and sitting at my desk) my body yearns for yoga to balance this (a little).

Do you think yoga has changed you in any way (yes or no) if yes ... WHY?

With every single practice, I am changed. My body is reminded of its pure presence and I am more me.

What do you believe are the long term benefits of practicing yoga?

Knowing and appreciating my body.

Do you recommend yoga to people, your friends, family? If so what is their response?

Yes always, often people might express they can't focus or 'switch off' to practice. All the more reason to then! Seriously though I might believe that yoga is for everyone, however, everyone is not for Yoga.

Anything else you would like to share about yoga that you feel would help inspire others to start practising yoga?
